Legacy Art Albuquerque is a cooperative fund-raising event sponsored by the St. Pius X High School and Art Has Heart foundations. Since its inception in 2001, Legacy Art Albuquerque has enjoyed the support of hundreds of gifted artists, talented celebrities, a generous presenting sponsor in the Pueblo of Sandia, exceptional volunteers, and a responsive public. The event has grown in attendance, funds raised, and breath and depth of quality art each year.

Legacy Art Albuquerque has been called the premier fund-raising event put before the public by two cooperating organizations. These two organizations could not put this event on alone. As a result, they joined forces a decade ago to bring to New Mexico and the surrounding region an art event that has been enjoyed by many.

As a result of joining forces and working together in the best interest of both organizations, Legacy Art Albuquerque has helped send hundreds of students to college by limiting their student debt, provided a gateway for many deserving students to attend St. Pius X High School through their tuition assistance program, and financially supported programs in fine art, music, photography, and theater at the high school.

This win-win partnership has been a model program for fun and fund-raising by celebrating art and artists.
