The Art Has Heart Foundation sets only the minimum criteria for student scholarships. The minimum criteria is an established financial need and residency in one of the following states: Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma. All other criteria are established by the recipient's high school. These additional criteria may include academic performance, class rank, campus and community involvement, teacher recommendations, and/or other criteria which may be designated by the school.

Students may attend any accredited college or university in the United States. While the Foundation focuses on the arts, it provides scholarships to students in all fields of study.

The Art Has Heart Foundation works with the colleges and universities attended by our recipients so that funds received can be used to reduce the level of debt assumed for higher education enrollment.

The Art Has Heart Foundation is also willing to support recipients beyond one year when satisfactory academic progress is being made and the student provides the Foundation with documentation of this progress.

The Art Has Heart Foundation does provide funds for the purpose of enhancing art programs in schools and other organizations, These funds can be used for supplies, special projects, and art-related field trips.

We have given over 550 scholarships since our inception in the Fall of 1996
